It's paradise to us natives, because we know the secret — and it's not sitting inside in the air conditioning wishing the Summer was over. Our get-out-of-jail-free card is whatever ocean, lake, river, spring, or swimming hole we can cannonball into (preferably from a rope swing) and escape the quadruple-digit days.
