About the BFG II

We partnered with legendary Texas rock ‘n’ roller, hot-rodder and beard-grower Billy F Gibbons to co-design these limited-edition BFG boots. As a Texas icon who has helped show the world what our home state is all about for more than 50 years, we couldn’t think of a better partner for our first design collaboration.

Much like Billy, the BFG boot has a signature look and a vibe all its own. It’s a cowboy boot that’s not just for cowboys. A boot that makes a statement whether you’re a rocker or a CPA. A boot that took inspiration from Billy’s love of cars, guitars and making music. And like all Alvies boots, it’s designed to break in fast and built to last.

Built to last: A ¾ Goodyear welt, full leather toe and leather heel counter give you years and years of wear

Made with sole: A comfort insole with cork footbed plus leather midsole and outsole make Alvies boots easy on your feet

100% leather: Cowhide upper (vamp, counter and shaft), plus bovine lining for instant comfort

Well heeled: Stacked leather heel, hard EVA middle lining, non-slip rubber bottom

You don’t have to be a world-famous guitarist to know picks never stay put. The pull strap of each BFG boot has a spot to store a backup, pre-loaded with a couple custom BFG picks.

Giving Back to Save Stages

Alvies and Billy F Gibbons are giving a percentage of each BFG sale to the National Independent Venue Foundation as part of our Alvies Kicks Back program. The NIVF preserves and nurtures independent music venues around the US through emergency relief funds, education and community programming, employee training and support, and economic development initiatives.

    Hammercy.

    Great quality and feel. Very impressed. My first pair of Alvies. I’ve owned a lot of brands of boots over 50 years and this is a lot of boot for the money.

    Amazing!

    I just got my "Sharp Dressed" BFG's. The presentation of this boot is a real treat. A beautiful box with fur lining and a really nice packet with information about the boots. They smelled incredible, filling the room with a great leather smell. When stepping into the boots, I was greeted with instant comfort. The fit was perfect. They look and feel incredible. I received quite a few compliments when I ventured out with them on. They become a centerpiece to a pair of boot cut jeans. I can't say enough good about the boot and equally important customer service. The staff at Alvies took the time to make sure I got the right size. Grab your own pair before they're gone. They are absolutely worth the investment.

    These are beautiful & comfy. Have mercy miss Percy u dun put a croon tune on these boots. They is cool & im gonna die wit these boots on!!!!! Thank ya.... thank ya very much

    Fantastic boots!

    Honestly got these cause, well, Billy F Gibbons! But, they are amazing boots regardless! Gorgeous finish, great details, and I LOVE the “pick pocket.” I was worried enough about size to call as I seem to be in between D and EE in other brands, but the D’Souza fit PERFECTLY. Great boots! Gotta figure out how to convince the mrs that I need a second pair…
